Today Lake City retains much of its original small town atmosphere with much of the neighborhood sheltered from traffic. Westlake is a neighborhood in the city of Seattle, in the US state of Washington, named after its location on the western shore of Lake Union. It is a relatively narrow neighborhood, there being only a few blocks between the shoreline and its western limit at Aurora Avenue N., beyond which is Queen Anne. Seward Park
Adjacent Seward Park was named for the park that juts into Lake Washington from its southwest shore. Seward Park may be as diverse in its housing as it is racially. Impressive homes were built on a ridge overlooking the lake, Mount Rainier and the Cascades to take advantage of the views. Inland, the homes are more modest, yet within walking distance of the lake, the park and the scenery. Residential turnover has been low.
